손석우 교수님은 종관규모의 날씨 현상뿐 아니라 기후변화를 포함한 장기 변동성 및 대규모 순환과 관련된 현상들이 왜 발생하며 그리고 어떻게 변하는지에 대해 연구하고 계십니다. 또한, 이러한 연구를 바탕으로 기후 및 현업 모형에서의 예측성이 어떻게 되며 어떻게 개선을 할 수 있을지에 대해서 탐구하십니다.
