연구내용

기후분석과 모델링, 기후 물리학 분야에서 광범위한 연구를 수행하고 있다. 주요 연구 분야는 구름-복사 상호작용, 동아시아 여름과 겨울 몬순, 태풍 분석(발생, 구조, 예측), 식생-기후 상호작용, 대기 오염 기후학 등이며, 기후 변수들과 태풍, 극한 기상, 대기 오염과 같은 다양한 현상을 결합한 기후과학 내 다학제 연구를 활발히 수행하고 있다.
