Usage
East Sea Real-time Ocean Buoy (ESROB) is a ocean observation buoy located at 37° 34.38’N, 129° 12.918’E, where the depth is 130m. ESROB is deployed in Apr 25, 1991, and is in operation now. The atmospheric and oceanic data is transmitted to the server in real time, and used to moniter the oceanic conditions. From the date of deployment, physical variables such as wind speed, wave height, water temperature, salinity and current. In Apr 2011, biogeochemical observation sensors were install at the platform and in Oct 2011, short, long radiometer were installed to obtain multi-disciplinary data. The maintenances such as regular site inspection and troubleshooting are conducted by Otronix. The buoy is regularly retrieved for on-land repair and redeployed after the maintenance.
