- Ihsuk Shin, Ph.D., GEE ‘61, GRE ‘66 Endowed Fellowship – Created in 2022 by Ihsuk Shin, Ph.D., GEE ‘61, GRE ’66, an accomplished and loyal alumnus of Penn Engineering, to support students who have been admitted to a graduate degree program at Penn Engineering. Before completing his postgraduate work at Penn Engineering, Dr. Shin proudly attended Seoul National University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Engineering in 1957. In keeping with his wishes, special consideration is given to fellowship candidates in the following order:
- First consideration for students who completed an undergraduate degree at Seoul National University, Dr. Shin’s undergraduate alma mater.
- Second consideration for students who completed an undergraduate degree at Yonsei University, Dr. Shin’s wife’s undergraduate alma mater.
- Third consideration for students who completed an undergraduate degree at Harvard University, Dr. Shin’s oldest child’s alma mater.
- Fourth consideration for students who completed an undergraduate degree at Rice University, Dr. Shin’s second oldest child’s alma mater.
- Fifth consideration for students who completed an undergraduate degree at the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Shin’s youngest child’s alma mater.
- (Admitted applicants are automatically considered for this prestigious award; no separate application or request for review is required)
